The founding of TUR Group marks an important milestone in our quest to establish a comprehensive customer support service, as outlined in our corporate philosophy.
2016
The Thermatur line undergoes a successful redesign and
is presented for the first time at the Medica trade fair in November of that year.

The development of the completely new equipment generation has been finalized, allowing series production and delivery to commence
2006
TUR Elektromedizin plus GmbH is founded in Hohen Neuendorf with the objective of developing a new generation of "human interfaces" for electromedicine and other applications.
1991
Following German reunification, Siemens acquires the x-ray technology sector, while the transformer, instrument transformer, and high-voltage technology sectors are taken over by the Ritz Group. As a result of a management buyout and the establishment of TuR-Elektromedizin GmbH in Hohen Neuendorf near Berlin, the medical electronics business—focused on physical therapy—becomes independent.
1958
"The company unveils its well-known logo just in time for the Leipzig Spring Fair.
1946
The company in East Germany is expropriated and converted into a state-owned enterprise. Several years later, VEB TUR (Transformer and X-Ray Factory Dresden) is established.
1914
Koch & Sterzel employs over 200 people. Following World War I, the company’s business focuses on power transformers, high-voltage testing equipment, and instrument transformers, which become key pillars of its operations. Between 1923 and 1932, it also ventures into radio production.



2020
TUR launches the 2nd generation of IHHT devices and introduces CELLOXY to the market.
2017
TUR sponsors and partners with the Body Health Clinic in Berlin. The TUR Academy, which organizes training and seminars, is based within the clinic.
2015
The new Cryotur STREAM cryotherapy air-flow system is launched onto the market.
Jan 2007
TUR GmbH is established in Dresden, specializing in marketing and distribution for the TUR group of companies.
2004
Shortly after its founding, Therapietechnik Rostock GmbH acquires the assets for the development, production, and distribution of physical therapy and electromedical cosmetic devices from
TuR - Elektromedizin GmbH, along with the brands 'TUR elektromedizin' and 'TUR cosmetics.' With just 10 employees, the company is starting anew, as small as it was at its inception in 1904.
1989
TUR employs more than 5,000 people.
1950
The production of physical therapy devices begins. Following the acquisition of ELMED in Hohen Neuendorf near Berlin in 1964, this sector becomes a cornerstone of TuR's business.
1943
The work force now numbers 1,840.
1904
On October 1 of this year, Franz Josef Koch and Kurt August Sterzel establish Koch & Sterzel, the 'Special Factory for Scientific Apparatuses and Instruments,' in Dresden, Germany. The company's development and production of X-ray equipment are founded on essential patents, particularly those secured by its founders. With just 10 employees, it is, from the outset, one of the most innovative firms in medical technology.
